We did a lot of running around today, and towards the evening, we ended up at Creekside.  I took a few pictures, but until I remember to keep my tripod near my camera at all times, I'm going to have a lot of blurry night shots . . . .

When you wait until the last minute to take a picture, you end up with some really strange ideas.  (It was this or the flaming marshmallows, but I want to save that idea for a later date.)

There was a balloon stuck in a tree.  It was the first picture I took today, but I liked it best. It just seemed a bit lonely up there . . .
I intentionally focused on the branch in front of the balloon; the picture  seemed to lose something when the focus was on it directly.

Simple picture, but the Pentax K-x has some cool development functions in-camera. I played with a bunch of 'em and this was the result.

My daughter had my camera for a while.  I love to see the pictures the kids get - they definitely add an element of fun.  I set her up with the kit lens (since it had auto-focus.)
