Marsala wine - Jenny helped a lot with this one. There's an LED light behind the bottle and another light source off to the side.  The whole thing is set up on a piece of poster board.

  First time I tried some time delay photography. The new camera gives a serious sense of depth that I couldn't get out of the Minolta Z1.  I'll have to try this again outside . . .

We spent the morning at the Franklin Park Conservatory taking pictures.  Not sure how many shots I had taken.  I think I'm going to need a prime macro lens to got some of the shots I really want, though.

This is the best vanilla!  One of these days, I'm going to break out some of those other lenses - I'm just loving the prime 50mm.  I'm not regretting choosing the Pentax K-x!

Edit:  I replaced the picture with the original from the camera.  The one I uploaded was really bothering me.

Same stargazer lillies as yesterday, but framed better and with just a touch of photoshop.  Technically, this picture was taken February 10.

Hopefully, there will be something besides snow to photograph . . . .

This is not a great picture, but I was using the 50mm with no flash, manual focused on the bit in the middle.  It was late, and I didn't want to take another picture of snow.  (And technically, this picture was taken on Feb 9 . . .)
