What Am I Doing Here?

This is my attempt to take one picture every day for an entire year. So far, so good . . . .

My favorite type of door latch - nothing much to say for it, though.  It was late, so I took to wandering around with my 50mm rime looking for subjects.

Picture of the shower.  I wanted to get a picture of moving water, and the bathtub was a good place to experiment with the flash.  If I had it to do again, I would deflect the flash upwards to eliminate the hard light there.  Overall, I'm still keen on the effect.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy, and of such tasty, succulent BRAAINS!!!!!!!

I'm going to guess that this is a heron.  It was a loud cuss, and perched up high on a read tree in Upper Arlington.  It sat there for a good five minutes, giving me time to get some decent shots.  This was the one that had the best detail.  The sky was rather overcast that day, so I lost out on a nice background - my 300mm just managed to reach it.

The excitement of my desk! I have the Google Picasa screensaver, so it cycles through all of my 'Picture of the Day' pics.  At the moment, it hit on the first picture I took this year (on the right.)

Rachel under the Chihuly glass display at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  I remember riding to this museum as a kid - I don't remember paying $15.50 to get in, though . . .
