This was an experiment with a homemade aperture filter.  I made a little cap out of black construction paper, and made a filter with a small heart in it.  The effect, while a bit crude, actually worked.  The light source was a string of Xmas lights.

Another picture of the tea kettle.  This time, it was sitting by the window in natural light.  This one came out a lot cleaner than I would have hoped - still need to learn about using the flash, though.  I've been counting on a lot of luck to get the lighting I want.

These are THE BEST CANDY BARS IN THE WORLD!!  In the United States, Snickers is a mediocre candy bar at best.  The British ones however,  are so much better.  If you ever get a chance to get one, do yourself a favor!

Something a little different - my phone (Motorola Android) has an app that will take a photo and convert it to ASCII characters (which I've always liked).  Along with the image, the app generates the HTML version as well.

I know this post is a day late, but technically, I took the picture on April 17.
